Flu Season

Hi Everyone!

Picture of DJ not feeling well during his daily postingLast night, I started to feel a little strange. My head started to feel hot and I felt like I wanted to just lay down and sleep. This morning, I woke up and I felt really sick with a sore throat. Mama said that I had a fever. Two of my older sisters woke up with the same thing. Mama didn’t say anything but she had the same symptoms as the rest of us.

Mama made us spend the day resting in our beds and drinking plenty of water and eating soup and rice. Mama gave all of us medicine for our sore throats.

Mama allowed me to make a short posting today. She said that she didn’t want me on the computer or Play Station2 as she want me and my sisters to rest.

I hope that I will feel better tomorrow. Mama told me that the flu is something that needs time to work its way out of our bodies. By resting and drinking plenty of fluids, we will be up and back to normal very soon!

Hi Everyone!

DJ smiling during his daily postingToday, I am going to review the Monster, Inc. video game.

The Monster, Inc. video game comes in a PC (Personal Computer) version, a Play Station 2 version, and a Game Boy version.

I was surprised to see that this game is just like the movie! You play as Sulley, the big blue monster who is searching for the lost Boo and you have to get her to safety. You can explore 20 different levels in search of door pieces scattered about which help you find Boo. When Sulley is faced against an evil monster, he can use his loud, powerful roar or his effective Laugh Launcher. After beating certain levels and accomplishing special tasks you can play in bonus mini-games and fun puzzles.

Monsters, Inc. follows the story of Mike and Sully, two monsters who have unwittingly allowed a human child called Boo into Monstropolis. As the big, blue-furred Sully, it’s up to you, with a little help from your one-eyed sidekick, Mike, to get Boo home.

Though it doesn’t take very long to complete, it accurately captures the fun and feel of the movie that fans of all ages are sure to enjoy. The gameplay consists of standard action/adventure fare. Sulley is to find a number of particular items scattered across different areas, including pieces of Boo’s door, laugh cannisters, Boo’s teddy bear, etc. There is nothing really difficult here, as it isn’t a chore to play as it controls extremely well and the levels are laid out very well.

The graphics and animation are top-notch, as Sulley and just about every other character in the game are animated very clearly and smoothly.

DJ’s Review

If you enjoyed the movie, there is an excellent chance you will enjoy this game - especially younger kids like me. Actually, I have it on my Game Boy. I play it before I take my afternoon nap. I give Monster, Inc. video games  a three binkee award.  picture of a 3 golden binkee award from DJ's World

Brother and Sisters

DJ smiling during daily posting

Hi Everyone!

Today I would like to talk a little about my big brother and sisters.

My big brother’s name is Michael-George. He is almost 13 years old. We, all, call him “George.” George is a really good brother to me. He has taught me a lot of things. He has, for a long time, been teaching me how to play many different computer and PlayStation 2 games. He is a really good gamer. Sometimes I make him mad when I do things to make him “crazy” like playing with his things. Also, bothering him when he is playing a game. But, he is my big brother and he always makes sure that I am not hurting myself when playing. I want to grow up and be like him.

My sisters are Karlene (12 years old), Jolina (almost 10 years old) and Maria-Nicos (7 years old). My sisters are very good to me. My oldest sister, Karlene, always takes care of me. She helps Mama doing things for me. I love all my sisters but, sometimes, we don’t get along with each other but Mama and Dada say that it is just a normal “sister - brother” thing and is normal. My sisters have helped me learn many things like my “ABC’s” and my numbers.

It is so much fun having a large family because I have many people to play with and to love. Please write me and tell me about your brothers and sisters.

I will talk more about my family tomorrow. Good-bye for now!

WOW, What a Birthday!

DJ smiling during his daily postingHi Everyone!

I had a great birthday yesterday. Many people came and visited me and brought gifts. I would like to say a big “THANK YOU!” to everyone for making it a wonderful day. Of course, being together with my family was the best part of the day. I was so tired after the day that I went to bed early but not before playing a few Play Station 2 games with my big brother.

Wednesday, I will write a little about my brother and sisters. Until then please take care of yourselves and remember to always listen to your Mama and Dada even when it is something you don’t want to do. They do know better but lets keep that our secret….
